BEASTS A-PROWL Jason Todd has returned to Wayne Manor after Nocturna has cleared her apartment and decided that she can't pretend to be her mother. Since Mayor Hill's corruption was also exposed, Jason's adoption could be reverted anytime and the news brings joy to Alfred, but Bruce is more concerned for Nocturna's sudden disappearance. Fearing that she might be attacked by the Night-Slayer, who is still at large, Bruce decides to continue the investigations as Batman. Meanwhile, a black panther has attacked innocent pedestrians in Crime Alley and the news reach the media as well as Batman and Robin. The first to get to the crime scene after the GCPD are Vicki Vale and Julia Pennyworth, who seek the latest information about the crime. While Batman and Robin are on their way to Crime Alley, they spot the mobile Bat-Signal and go to the Egyptian Embassy, where a terrorist by the name of Darkwolf has taken hostages and has threatened to blow the place if his demands aren't met. The heroes work a plan in which Robin would get the hostages to safety while Batman confronts Darkwolf and captures him without any casualties. The plan goes well as Robin manages to take the hostages out of danger, but Batman is unable to capture Darkwolf when the terrorist uses a grenade to blow up the place and makes his getaway on a hang-glider. Frustrated with his own failure, Batman leaves the place in shame and anger. Meanwhile, Vicki and Julia have searched across Crime Alley but have not been able to locate the panther. Eventually, the panther finds them and as the animal approaches them, they attempt to attack the beast by tossing bricks at it; a plan which ultimately fails when Catwoman shows up and disarms them. VENGEANCE IS MINE Mary Ho is saved by the bullet-proof vest she wears under her clothes, and Green Arrow subdues both Tim Selby and Vengeance. Elsewhere, Onyx finds a place to stay, from a shopkeeper in Star City.
